A long promised Wand-tutorial.
I'm REALLY sorry it has taken me so long, but here it is!
I hope you'll try it out, and make your own wands!

We (:iconmajann: & :iconsigrunelise:) used about one hour, making eight wands this evening, including the time the glue got cold, and the paint dried completely.

ENJOY - and please do share with me, if you make your own - I'd love to se your wands!

Wands - tutorial by *majann is a very clever, very inexpensive way of creating a great prop for all those budding wizards and witches! ( Suggested by *FreakieGeekie and Featured by ^Elandria )

This is freaking brilliant! I'm having a birthday party for Harry in July, and I wanted to do wands. I made some for another party years ago, but just used dowel rods. I planned to do that again, but was not looking forward to all the sanding involved. This is SO much cooler (and cheaper & faster!).

I'm having a 'wand choosing' ceremony at the party, and with these babies, I don't think anyone will walk away from that disappointed.

I made my first 2 today, they are awesome... as are YOU! Now I just need 12 more chopsticks!!

Thanks again! :)

I really love this tutoral. It's simple, to the point, and easy to follow. The pictures are great, and it's easy to see what's going on. My kids and I spent the afternoon making these and we had a lot of fun. We hit the Dollar Store for all of the supplies and I spent less than $3. I already had the acrylic paint, but if I had to buy it I could probably find a way to get it for another few bucks. $5 total for something that keeps my kids busy AND happy? Sold! Thank you so much and please keep up the good work.

This is EPIC!!! I can't WAIT to try this!!! I originally found this on Pintrest, so I just thought you'd like to know its there. I wanna try a spiral all the way down like Hermione's wand but with my own flair as to mimmic my personality as everyone knows wands do ;). I'm such a Harry Potter, X-Men, Resident Evil, Star Wars and Hunger Games freak!lol I guess you could say your typical Fangirl.lol Was it hard to do the spirals down the wood with the glue?

Dammit.
Once you noticed the phallic like shape combined with the closing words "Don't be afraid to play with beads and glue." it becomes nearly impossible to appreciate the innovation, because your mind shift directly towards sex jokes.
