Wands - tutorial by majann Wands - tutorial by majann
A long promised Wand-tutorial.
I'm REALLY sorry it has taken me so long, but here it is!
I hope you'll try it out, and make your own wands!

We (:iconmajann: & :iconsigrunelise:) used about one hour, making eight wands this evening, including the time the glue got cold, and the paint dried completely.

ENJOY - and please do share with me, if you make your own - I'd love to se your wands!

Wands - tutorial by *majann is a very clever, very inexpensive way of creating a great prop for all those budding wizards and witches! ( Suggested by FreakieGeekie and Featured by Elandria )

I absolutely love this tutorial and I cannot wait to try it. A tutorial with hundreds of steps and pieces loses my interest very quickly, but this is simple and elegant.
It's cheap to do with all kinds of outcomes to keep it interesting. The directions are clear and the photographs are great. The example wands you created are beautiful and a wonderful motivator.
This idea is very fresh and surprising to find here on Deviant Art. I'd love to see more work from you. I'm seriously just heading out to the Asian Market near here right now because I'm so excited to give this a try.
Keep up the awesome work and thank you for sharing this.

First of all, you took GREAT pictures. I have a real hard time with photo tutorials because usually the artisan is great at making the product, but the pictures and guides for you to make your own are lacking in really showing you anything. I also really loved that you had eight different wand designs that you did yourself, for me that served as great inspiration as to what I'm going to do with my own wand! Love the simplicity of the project and how it's both low on cost and time, but has an EXCELLENT end result! Great job on both coming up with the craft and explaining it to us! =)

This tutorial blew my mind. Would like you to know that my family looked over my shoulder and gawked at it. We've already planned a date in the summer when we're going to make them, supplied with water melon or maybe some ice cream.

Could I ask, where you got your chop sticks? What would be the best place to get them? I have some old ones but they look thin and cheap. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
